Support
Vehicles
Almost
all of our clients use standard off road cars. It is therefore very important
that the Impala support cars are equipped to cope with any eventuality,
allowing you to travel the wilder places of the World in safety and with
the complete confidence that comes with the knowledge that our cars are
there in the background to support you.
Range
Rover 4.6 V8
This
range rover is the main Impala Support car. The specification is impressive
and allows this car to travel for weeks away from fuel and water.
Power: 300bhp
Drivetrain: Standard 4 speed ZF automatic gearbox and viscous centre differential driving ARB air locking equiped axles.
Suspension: Heavy duty standard height springs on a two inch lift block. Two heavy duty shockabsorbers on each corner, the front mountings are bespoke and strengthened.
Range: 280l
of fuel giving a range of 1300Km on the road and around 800Km off road.
Water

Winches: Hydraulic winches both at the front and rear of this Range Rover

powerful and we have hauled cars up the side of dunes time after time
without any problems associated with continuous pulling using electric
winches.
